The Black Diamond Naomi Campbell Parties With Leonardo DiCaprio After Blood Diamond Trial

Naomi Campbell is the Supermodel of America. The supermodel attended a star studded party attended by Blood Diamond star Leonardo DiCaprio in Italy just days after testifying at the war crimes trial of Charles Taylor at the Hague in the Netherlands.

Taylor is alleged to have given Campbell a giant diamond during a dinner party at Nelson Mandela's house. Taylor is charged with using blood diamonds to fund the Sierra Leone civil war.

She testified that she received a bag of "dirty looking pebbles" from an unknown person, but actress Mia Farrow and Campbell's former manager Carole White disputed her testimony when they said Campbell knew the gift was from Taylor and was "excited" about it.

"She (Naomi Campbell) said that in the night she had been awakened, some men were knocking at the door, and they had been sent by Charles Taylor, and they had given her a huge diamond," Mia Farrow testified.

Leonardo DiCaprio's face-slasher claims mistaken identity

This Wednesday the woman accused of slashing Leonardo DiCaprio's face with a broken beer bottle pled not guilty to charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

40-year-old Aretha Wilson is charged with attacking the Inception star at a 2005 party in the Hollywood Hills house of Rick Solomon, Paris Hilton's ex-boyfriend and sex tape partner.

Wilson allegedly gatecrashed the party and assaulted DiCaprio. At that time she told police that she had mistaken the actor for an ex-boyfriend.

The slashing caused DiCaprio to be hospitalized and receive 17 stitches near his right ear. According to doctors, the actor could have been killed if the broken bottle had struck the carotid artery in his neck.

After the attack DiCaprio filed a criminal complaint, and Wilson evaded authorities by fleeing to Canada. Last month authorities finally extradited her back to California and charged her with assault with a deadly weapon.

Wilson, who reportedly was on probation for a previous offence in Canada at the time she attacked DiCaprio, has been ordered to stay at least 500m away from the actor. Currently held in a California jail, Wilson had her bail raised from $70,000 to $170,000, due to the judge's concern about her "willingness and ability to come back to court." Due in court on August 23, the accused faces up to seven years' jail time if convicted.

DiCaprio has agreed to testify against Wilson, if necessary.
